The Story of LocalBee

Born at Purdue.
Built for Everyone.

"It started with a business card at a football game."

Hi, I’m Kenton, Co-Founder of LocalBee. The idea for LocalBee came during a pivotal moment at Purdue University. After the grueling process of switching my major from Economics to Chemical Engineering, I hit a wall: I had the degree, but I had no idea how to get the job.

At a Purdue football game, I met a retired executive. He handed me a card that simply said: Mentorship.

That single interaction changed everything. Beyond what you see in the movies, real mentorship taught me the "unwritten rules"—how to interview, how to lead, and how to build a network that lasts a lifetime. That mentor became a lifelong friend, and that friendship became the blueprint for LocalBee.

Our mission is to make expert advice as accessible as a ride-share app.

"Whatever career advice you need—whether you're finding your first job or pivoting to a new industry—LocalBee is the platform to get you there, fast."
